Did your bank just raise its interest rates again?
At South West Credit – we didn’t. That’s because as a Credit Union which is owned by our customers, the only time we adjust our interest rates is when it is in the interests of our members to do so.
If your bank is taking advantage of you – do something about it. Make an appointment to come in and see one of our friendly local staff. If you switch your banking to South West Credit you could be eligible for home loan rates as low as 6.3%*.
Did you know that every new member we receive has a significant flow of effect to our whole member base. Because our profits are reinvested back into the business (not to greedy shareholders) we are able to offer more competitive pricing on our rates and fees and introduce new products and services as identified by you.
Don’t get mad, get even and make the move today!

South West Credit Member Survey
I would like to thank all our members who participated in the 2012 Member Survey in January this year. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us set the direction of South West Credit for the future.
We have received some great information from the surveys, such as what is important to you as a member and what we could do to improve your banking experience.
At South West Credit we pride ourselves on outstanding member service and your feedback confirmed that we are doing this well, 91% of respondents said that they would recommend us to their friends and family because they were very impressed with the level of personal service provided to them by South West Credit.
Over the next twelve months you will see some new products and services introduced as identified to us through the survey. We will also be creating a regular e-newsletter to keep members up to date with what’s happening at South West Credit and within the industry, if you would like to receive this newsletter please let one of our staff members know so you can be added to the distribution list.

Wunta is on its way
As members recover from the Christmas/New Year festivities, South West Credit is already planning its next big activity – the 2012 South West Credit Wunta Fiesta.
As the major sponsor of this long-running community festival, we’re proud to take an active part in the festival’s operation in a number of ways. The 2012 Wunta Fiesta will be held on Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February 2012.
This year, we will have members of the South West Credit team helping out at each event, be it serving food, helping with directions, or setting and cleaning up events.
Already on the bill for this year’s Wunta Fiesta is:
- Breakfast on the Green on Friday morning – including the running of the Undie 500
- Friday Night on the Green, including a headline act (stay tuned for who that act will be), kids activities, multicultural displays and cuisine, markets, stalls, a jumping castle and more!
- Saturday’s Jazz in the Gardens at the Botanic Gardens
- The communal Sunday morning breakfast and walk, which will incorporate a come-and-try-day with the Warrnambool
Junior Triathlon Club
- A Day at the Lake at Lake Pertobe on Sunday February 5.
Keep an eye out for more detail closer to the date!
