Cover Options

You have a range of cover options, depending on your own circumstances and those of others likely to drive your car.

Comprehensive
This policy provides complete cover, regardless of the number of licensed drivers using the vehicle. It protects you against theft, fire and damage to your car, as well as damage you may cause to another person’s car or property.

Preferred Driver
If you’re a more experienced driver over the age of 24, and others under 24 won’t be driving the car, you can take out a full comprehensive policy at a discounted price.

Nominated Driver
If there will be one main driver over the age of 21 and a second nominated driver over the age of 19, this policy offers comprehensive cover at a good value price.

Third Party Only
This provides cover for damage you may cause to another person’s car or property, but does not cover your own car. Uninsured Driver Protection Cover is included under this policy.

Third Party Fire & Theft
This is an extension of the Legal Liability Policy, which provides cover if your car is stolen or damaged due to fire.

A choice of Excess
Your excess is the initial amount you have to pay yourself if you make a claim, and we offer variable excess. The higher the excess you choose, the lower the premium you’ll pay.

For new cars, a new car replacement policy

Insure your brand new car with QBE within 2 years of purchase, and if it’s written off within the first four years of ownership or 100,000kms, it’ll be replaced with a new one (conditions apply).

A range of ways to save

With South West Credit there are various ways to enjoy discounts on your premium.

No claim bonus
If you’ve been claim-free for a period of 12 months upward, you may qualify for a no-claim bonus. A no claim bonus discount increases each year you remain claim free unitl you reach the maximum discount.

Car security discount
After market accessories like alarms and immobilisers may reduce the amount you pay.

Over 50s discount
If you’re a little older and more experienced, your premium will reflect the lower-risk nature of your demographic.

New car discount
If you’re taking on the expense of a brand new vehicle, you’ll appreciate this saving.

Easy to arrange, simple to claim

The convenience of having Car Insurance under the same roof as your financial services isn’t the only way we make life easier. From making your application to making a claim, South West Credit ensures things are as straightforward as possible.

You can apply online, by phone, or at our branch. Flexible payment options include fortnightly, monthly or annual direct debit, BPAY, cheque or credit card payments (excluding American Express).

If you do need to make a claim, we won’t make you wade through paperwork. QBE have a 24-hour emergency claims number, and in most cases, you need just provide details over the phone.
