With more people shopping online this year due to COVID-19, scammers are ready and waiting to cash in on this opportunity, with fake parcel delivery notifications via text message or email.
There is a variety of ways online attackers may attempt to gain your personal or financial information, or exploit you for financial gain by pretending to be from Australia Post.
Some scams are extremely hard to determine, with SMS and email scams being almost identical to the real thing.
It may be an SMS or email message asking you to verify your address, or asking you to pay unpaid shipping costs (or other charges), it could even be a fake survey from Australia Post designed to steal your personal and financial information.
